I was getting ready to sing a love song to my wife, then looked at myself and decided that I looked like Dracula. I can’t remember the love song, but this one made me laugh.
I may not always be the most chipper on a Monday morning, but I can generally fake it until I make it, or the coffee takes hold. This morning there was no faking it, no making it, just trying to get through having a case of the Mondays and hoping Tuesday brings a betterness feeling to start the day. I kinda of wish I could blame alcohol, but it was just a Monday hangover.
With the arrival of a nice Sunday, and a whole lot of rain behind me, and a whole lot of rain behind me, it was time to see if I can get another year out of “The Beast,” my vintage Craftsman riding mower. I learned a lot of things today while seeing if I might need to do some mower repairing, like I should really sing louder into the built-in mike on my phone when I’m outside.
My asked me about something on the news, and surprisingly I didn’t have an answer. I can usually come up with an answer, or at least something that makes sense, but not this time. I told her I didn’t know, but that I did know one thing in this world.
We had some giant, chocolate chip cookies left over from Costco. My wife insisted they were stale. I said they weren’t. She threw them away before I could give them my own test. Ugh!
My wife always gets my songs texted to her before I post them. The nice thing about that is every morning I see her old texts, and there is always an “I Love You!” quickly seen. It’s a nice thing to see every morning, or whenever I might need a pick-me-up during the day!
As quickly as it seemed to appear, it was gone. It’s the Cookie Butter Bar at Starbucks, and my wife told me about it a couple of weeks ago. Now it’s gone. Why the coffee folks would get rid of the best bakery item of all time is beyond me. Maybe they’ll bring it back, but for now I’m just sad.
If you are sad that the Cookie Butter Bar is gone, you can always subscribe to my YouTube channel or “Like” “Songs By Andy” on Facebook. Maybe that will at least bring a little smile to your face.
If you’re sick, and you like donuts, may I recommend a donut to help you feel better? Sure, the feeling may not last all day, but for those few moments the yumminess entering your belly will help you forget how crappy you feel.
