On a summer day in July I stopped at my favorite bakery on the way to work as I had a donut fix that needed to be squashed.

Low and behold I was pulling up, the lights are off, and there is a sign in the window that they are closed for July. “What?!?!?!” I joked to my wife that we should open a bakery. Then on a different morning in July I had the same hankering for a donut, so much so I even researched other bakeries in the area. I was set, I was happy, but they were closed for most of July, too. I believe it is a bakery conspiracy, or God just not wanting me to have a donut on a Friday in July.

After you listen to the song you may wonder, but yes, I did eat my almonds. 🙁

It was a miracle because on most Fridays I get a donut.

In this song, I took a walk with our dog, Milo.

He is a Coton de Tulear, with a white-as-snow coat of fur. He has more fun than I do while walking.

I guess I’m kind of going through the many stages of grief with the winter weather coming.

I’ve been happy about it, sad about it, hope to build a snowman, and know I’ll just have to get through it.

Well, spring will be here soon enough, so why let the winter weather get me down?

Our dog, Milo, is a resource guarding kind of dog.

My wife brought him into her life before she met me, and she will always be number one in his life. What that means for me is that I need to explain to him, at times, my every move, otherwise he will think, even if I am just walking across ar room, that I am about to attack his Mommy.

I get off the couch, I have to explain to him that I’m going to the kitchen. I head to the stairs, I better tell him I’m going into the basement. If she is in a position that she seems vulnerable, like lying on the couch, I must announce my intention, or I will get a “Grrrrrr!”

Milo ain’t no dummy!

The pint of ice cream is dangerous, especially when it is my favorite flavor, Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby.
